Major Project Concept Map

Hello everyone! So for my Principles of Instructional Technologies class, I am starting a major project. For my project, I am creating a lesson plan for kindergarteners and using online tools to teach about nutrition and creating activities for the students to show their knowledge. Below is a concept map that I created with Popplet to show what I will be doing each week during my project.

Summary of Learning

Taking this course, Principles of Instructional Technologies, has really showed me how much effect I can have on my students. I've learned about so many new technology tools that I had never heard of before that could really benefit me in the future. I've also read about important topics related to technology like a Professional Learning Network and about digital citizenship. To show how some of the topics of this course connected I created a graphic on Canva . All of these topics are related and are important in the use of technology. Food Groups!

Hello all. This week I created a resource to teach food groups to kids. I found images and used Microsoft Word to create an image to upload to Thinglink . Although the free version of Thinglink is very limiting I worked around it. I used information from the MyPlate teacher resources website  to create my Thinglink. Healthy vs. Unhealthy Foods Activity

Hello everyone. This week I created a Quizlet  to test students' knowledge on the difference between healthy and unhealthy foods. Quizlet is a great website for digital flashcards but I used it for this part of my lesson plan as an online matching game. Check out my teacher blog post here  for more information.
