Major Project Summary

As my major project comes to a close I am taking some time to reflect on what I did. Creating a lesson plan was a great experience for me because it was beneficial for me to see what goes into creating one and how I can integrate technology, even for a kindergarten or preschool classroom. I definitely want to keep working on my lesson planning skills as I continue my college education and try to integrate different technology when I create more lesson plans for other classes in the future. Technology is so prevalent today and because kids nowadays are drawn to it, it's important for teachers to integrate it in the classroom to make learning more engaging and hands-on and to help guide them in how to use technology responsibly.  I enjoyed creating a lesson plan for nutrition for a kindergarten class and I can definitely use the items that I made in the future. Doing this major project was very enjoyable and I hope you all enjoyed seeing me progress through it.

Taking this course, Principles of Instructional Technologies, has really showed me how much effect I can have on my students. Food Groups!

Hello all. This week I created a resource to teach food groups to kids. I found images and used Microsoft Word to create an image to upload to Thinglink . Although the free version of Thinglink is very limiting I worked around it. I used information from the MyPlate teacher resources website  to create my Thinglink. Healthy vs. Unhealthy Foods Activity

Hello everyone. This week I created a Quizlet  to test students' knowledge on the difference between healthy and unhealthy foods.
